Cosmetology Course Description
Cosmetology is the study and practice of the basic principles of hairdressing and cosmetology that include the hair, skin and nails in addition to techniques and product knowledge. The course is constructed to allow 320 hours of theory and 680 hours of practice.
Course Format
The course will be presented by a combination of lecture, demonstration and student practice. Students will demonstrate their competencies through theory and practical exams and their completion of required clinic activities. Instruction will be supplemented by audio/visual aids, guest artists and technicians, seminars, exhibits and industry shows.
Class Schedules
DAY CLASSES
Full Time: M-F, 8:45 am - 3:15 pm, 30 hrs week, 34 weeks
EVENING CLASSES
Full Time: M-Th, 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm & Sat, 9:00 am - 2:30 pm, 25 hrs week, 40 weeks
Part Time: M-Th, 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm, 20 hrs week, 50 weeks
Start Dates
Day and evening classes begin on the first Monday of every month.
